Below the surface dream, shallow and light, Of what we say "we feel" - below the stream, As light, of what we think "we feel" - there flows With noisless current strong, obscure and deep, The central stream of what we feel indeed. - Matthew Arnold.

Blake

William Blake: a small look on the inside.

Blake was a unique artist who has seen his first vision at the age of seven and whose visions continued until the end of his life; the very logical solution to somehow come to terms with such an unbelievable multitude of imagery crowding his imagination was to turn to pen, paper and … colors! He did that and we all enjoy the results of his labors.
My three paintings, inspired by William Blake, the visionary, is an attempt to satisfy my own curiosity about the events, happening inside an artists’ mind during the period of brooding, reflection and doubt, just before the act of actual creation takes place. It is an arduous, difficult, often a tortuous process, but which, however, brings joy, release and satisfaction to those who are brave and adventurous enough to start on that journey.
